Boss Ancient Dragon – the peculiarity is that the Dragon can do more damage when negative skills (debuffs) hang on the enemy. It is advised that the team take warriors who can remove debuffs or grant immunity. If the Lizard’s health drops to 30% or less, its attack increases. It is recommended that you end the fight after activating the Dragon Wrath ability.


  1. The breath of rage is a massive attack, there is a chance to inflict lasting damage for 3 turns. Enemies under negative effects take more damage.

6 Fantastic Tips to Complete More Missions

1. Read The Scene

Sometimes, you’ll see text as the game loads, though this would usually be inconsequential tips the game gives you, inconsequential, that is, if you’ve been playing for a while. But in Hitman: Sniper, you really should pay close attention to the text on the loading screen. It will mostly tell you to “read the scene” before firing – part of the Hitman series’ mechanics is that guards and targets have a predictable way of moving around. Use the ample time you have in the early levels to study how your targets move.

2. Know Your Objectives

Scoring a lot of points is all well and good if you’re looking to rise up the leaderboard, but they won’t mean much unless you accomplish your objectives in a mission. That should always be your primary concern when playing Hitman: Sniper.

3. Don’t Get Too Trigger-Happy

In most, if not all cases, it wouldn’t be a good idea to kill people while out in the open. That’s going to cause a ripple effect – the guards will notify their colleagues on the grounds, targets will seek safe haven elsewhere, and there’s even the chance civilians will report you to the authorities. The only time you should kill people while out in the open is during the extraction process, as there won’t be any time for anyone to sound the alarm. Cancel “Hold Breath” right after you take the shot

Starting off with something very simple and easy to implement here. You’re probably aware of the “hold breath” feature, as it’s one of your two main buttons on the screen. However, you can maximize the usefulness of this feature by simply cancelling the effect as soon as you take a shot. There’s no need to watch your bullet fly in slow motion, as it’s going to hit the same spot regardless. Just tap the button right after you tap the fire button, and you’ll preserve more of the resource — thus not having to wait to use it again. You can pretty much use “hold breath” the entire round (whenever taking a shot) if you keep doing this.


Study the map and it’s inhabitants

In Hitman: Sniper, you’ll play on one map throughout the entire game, and the inhabitants of this map will continue to move around the map the same way every mission. Because of this, it is extremely important that you study the inhabitants, and continue to learn their every move as you continue to progress through the game. Try to take a note of anything that seems like a special opportunity, as usually you can score more points by getting creative, and there is more than likely going to be a required objective to do that thing later on.

Never execute the primary target until previous objectives are complete

This is very simple. Whenever you take out the primary target listed in your objectives, you’ve only got 10 seconds until you’re extracted from the mission. That means if you don’t have your secondary objectives complete by the time that count-down is finished, you’ll fail the mission and have to retry. If you do this by accident, and realize you need to take out another guard or whatever it may be, you can utilize hold breath to slow down the extraction timer and give you a few extra seconds to look around the map.

Try to score as many points as possible every few levels, and how to score them

You can rank up divisions by scoring a certain number of points, and by ranking up divisions, you unlock new sniper rifles that can be very useful in your arsenal. I don’t recommend to try and maximize your score on every single mission, as you’re going to spend a very long time completing all 150 of them — especially if you do it that way. Instead, just try to do this on missions that already have a score requirement.

As for how you can score more points, the easiest way is to eliminate all non-primary targets. I don’t mean secondary objectives, as those are already required. I’m talking about the list of optional targets you’re given prior to starting the mission, which consists of people you’ve probably had as a primary target before. You can zoom in on any of the building inhabitants heads and if they are an optional target, you’ll be able to assign a purple target that follows them around the map.

Other ways to score bonus points are performing creative kills, such as two headshots with one bullet, a domino kill, or shooting a fuse box to blow a guard off the map via a giant fan. You can also shoot vehicles to set off car alarms, which can get more than one guard in the same spot — making it easier to execute a double kill. If you’re confident with your shot, you can get extra points by not using “hold breath” for a kill as well. And finally, if you really want to maximize your score, you can get a few thousand extra points (not much) by destroying laptops and the rubber duck on any mission, which I’ll explain right below this.

You’ll encounter missions that require you to find small objects on the map that aren’t super visible to the naked eye. Instead of looking all over the map for these objects, take a look at our cheat-sheet that shows you were to find the five laptops, as well as the hidden rubber ducky. In-case you missed the note, the laptop on the right hand side of the center building, 2nd level to the top, only becomes visible once the mission timer hits 8:50 — until then, the room has the lights off and you can’t see.

Utilize all of the abilities of your various sniper rifles

Lastly, it’s important to know what each of your weapons are capable of doing. They each have their own unique use-able abilities, and these can make certain objectives extremely easy. For example, one perk found on a few different weapons allows you to automatically headshot all marked targets (until the ability ends), which makes objectives like “get x amount of headshots without holding breath” much easier to complete.

The basics

One of the most important things is conserving your breath. You’ve got a button that lets you hold your breath, steadying your shot. What you need to realise is that it’s not important to tap it with every shot.

If you’re aiming for an inanimate object – a fuse box, a car, a gas cannister, or one of the other traps around the level – then holding your breath is a waste of time. They’re not going to run off anywhere.

Plus it means you’ll be able to take a lung-full in order to steady yourself for anyone who comes running to see what you’ve done.

Holding your breath is of the utmost importance when you’re trying to perform a moving shot. You need to aim in front of your target, and judge the distance your bullet is going to cover before it reaches them.

It takes a while to get the rhythm of these shots right, but you score a lot more points for them, and a lot of the challenges you face will require you to score at least one.

It’s a good idea to reload after every encounter, even if you’ve got a few bullets left in the clip. It’ll mean you’re fully stocked for the next one, and if things go wrong – which they probably will – you’ll have enough fire power to sort it all out.


The power-ups you’ve got at your disposal are based on which sniper rifle you’ve got equipped. You unlock more as you level up your weapons by upgrading them. You can find out what the various buffs actually do in the armoury.

A lot of them add extra score to certain actions, so you can use them to your advantage in certain challenges. Check what your equipped rifle can do, and see what the others you have in your arsenal are capable of.

Don’t rely too much on them though. They can push you over the edge in certain situations, but the best way to ensure you’re scoring as many points as possible is to kill people as creatively as you can.

Your power-ups can certainly help in this regard, but it’s important to make sure you can cope without them as well.

Look for combo kills, ways to dispose of bodies, and learn the locations in the level where it’s easiest to chain together murders.

The rest

One thing you’re likely to do is rush – this is a mobile game after all, and in mobile games time is usually precious. But there’s no need. You’ve got ten minutes to complete your challenges, or at least you have most of the time, so picking your shots carefully is the best way to go.

Experimentation is important as well. If you see something that looks like you might be able to murder someone with, give it a crack. You might end up alerting some guards, or failing the level, but you never know unless you try.

Just because your target is a specific person, doesn’t mean you can’t take out other targets in a level to earn more points. This also adds them to the roulette wheel at the end of the level, meaning you might unlock new weapon parts as well.

Spend your cash when you get it too. If you can upgrade the weapon you’ve got, do. Anything that adds more oomph to your attacks is always going to help you out. And you’ll unlock perks as you go to.

Oh, and the most important tip of them all – shoot things. Shoot them goodly.

Chapter 1: Missions 6-10

Chapter 1, Mission 6:

  • Trigger a car alarm to lure a guard and get a lured kill
  • Kill Jaqroslav Benak

Ah, you might already know how to do this one from what I explained in the first guide but there’s also a way to get additional points with this kill. If  you’re unfamiliar with that explanation then the trick is to shot the white van on the right triggering the car alarm. But instead of just shooting the guard as he investigates, shoot the glass balcony above when that guard is leaning on it so he falls on the guard below. Easy double kill that meets the requirements and gives you extra points. Once that’s done you can kill Jaqroslav Benak any way you want to complete the mission. If you want to rack up some easy points I recommend killing Rogue Agent Kevin Borts located on the map below.

Chapter 1, Mission 7:

  • Shoot twice on a fuse box and get an explosive accident kill
  • Kill Dimitri Lefkos

This one can be tricky if you don’t know where the fuse box is located but it’s not difficult at all. You have to shoot the fuse box in order to destroy it and the first shot automatically causes the closest guard to be alerted and approach it. Just shoot it again once he gets closer and you have your accidental kill. Even though you can just kill Dimitri Lefkos immediately once he arrives, it’s not a bad idea to try to earn more points first to increase your ranking in the leaderboards.

Chapter 1, Mission 8:

  • Get a score of $350,000 (Promotion to Bronze Tier 2)
  • Kill Omid Maklouf

This one requires you to use all your skills and what you’ve learned from previous missions to get as many kills as possible without alerting security to your presence. I recommend the following kills: double kill with the car alarm; the environmental kill with Marcus Krug and his bodyguard; Rogue Agent Kevin Borts; the remaining environmental kills. You can take out additional targets such as Krug or Romanowski to increase your score but be careful not to be detected before your primary kill.

Chapter 1, Mission 9:

  • Kill Markus Krug with a heat lamp explosion

This can be a really quick mission or you can prolong it in order to rack up extra points. There are various times when Markus Krug is near a heat lamp so it depends on how quickly you want to move on to the next mission. You can kill Krug the first time he’s near a heat lamp but still get some valuable kills before then. You can eliminate the rogue agent almost immediately and then get the double kill with the car alarm. At that point you can kill Krug on the ledge. If you miss out it’s not an automatic fail because he’ll be near a heat lamp again and I suggest using the one near the pool. You do get extra points for how quickly you finish a mission so don’t linger too long.

Chapter 1, Mission 10:

  • Get a score of 400,000 including 1 moving headshot
  • Kill Jaroslav Benak

Ok, this one is somewhat challenging in the sense that you won’t be able to achieve this with just environmental kills. And it’s important to achieve the score before the mission ends because bonuses after it’s done won’t be included. However, it doesn’t mean you can’t achieve both goals without the majority of the kills being environmental kills. And you can achieve the moving headshot when you kill Jaroslav Benak. I recommend the following kills: double kill with the car alarm; the environmental kill with Marcus Krug and his bodyguard. Take out the two guards near Rogue Agent Kevin Borts with a one shot kill (get a headshot of guard in front). This will make Borts attempt to escape and this is when you can achieve the moving headshot by pushing the hold breath button to slow it down. You’ll have to put the reticle slightly ahead of him so the bullet finds its mark. Use environmental kills if you desire to get close enough to the 400,000 and then take out Benak. Congratulations, you’re on your way to chapter 2.
